I needed a lawyer quickly and she stepped up, noted I was getting screwed on a TRO and offered to help at a fixed cost. Sounded great. Three years of delays and non-existent communication later the only thing I accomplished was getting three years older. An "questionable" restraining order filed i...n 2019 has yet to see a courtroom (that's temporary?). During a recent attempt to schedule I watched in horror as lawyers dickered over a date as a hearing the judge wanted to schedule in December got pushed into April 2023. My kids, who were taken from me under false pretenses and against their will at age 10 and who have asked to be returned to me, will be 14 before that date. She didn't care. When I raised a fuss she fabricated an excuse to drop me. I'll never get back the years. Maybe a little more attention to the case and a little less time at her vacation home in Italy would have made a difference. Communication was non-existent. Occasionally I was forwarded communication from my Ex's attorney but my own inquiries were largely ignored. When I finally reached a breaking point and asked for a meeting, that's when I was dropped. Even that was classless. A face-to-face meeting with a paralegal was cancelled, rescheduled for a later date with Ms. Etcheverry-Barnes, and then again cancelled in favor of a phone call in which she quit. After three years there was no more money in it. What's right or fair took a back seat.

I will start by saying this.. that if you do not hire Paige as your Attorney, you better pray that your EX DOESN'T. Our family is so thankful for Paige and her staff. Because of Paige, our Family is together and we have the children in a safe and loving home. Paige is very strong at knowing the ...law and all of the different codes and sections of the law. Paige knows what to say and when to say it and we are always so confident anytime we walk into the court room with her on our side. We are so thankful that we retained Paige and that the other side didn't, and especially if you are a parent trying to fight for custody of your children, there isn't a better Attorney in town. Paige knows how to get your children for you and keep your children for you especially if you are a parent trying to place the best interest of your children first. Paige will not be bullied and she will stand up and fight her heart out for you and your family. We have come to the realization that most attorneys in town do not want to take on Paige because of how smart she is and how deep she studies your case. There is a reason why Paige has so many clients jumping from one court room to the next while other attorneys just sit around all day waiting for their "one" trial for the day. Paige took our case very seriously and more importantly she took our case personally and fought for our family like it was her own. Paige has laughed with us, cried with us, and been there for us in our most stressful and difficult times of need. She has become like family to us. Most Attorneys end up costing about the same money by the time it's all over and we decided for our family that we only wanted to the best. Family/divorce court is extremely important in determining the outcome of the rest of your life so don't gamble by choosing a cheap attorney. Do yourself a favor and at least set up a consultation with Paige and you will know right away that you've made the right decision. We were referred to Paige from four different friends/family that had retained Paige and they were all very pleased and thankful for the outcome that Paige was able to secure for them and their children and family. I will finish by saying this.. if you do not hire Paige, you better pray to God that your EX DOESN'T.

Hired Ms.Etcheverry 4 years ago and had to to let her go in June 2017 because she did nothing for my case . After paying her over $20,000 all I was left with was an empty bank account and several postponements papers ! I truly fill that a Lawyer should not be aloud to go to court and postpone with o...ut the clients approval, it should be against the law to allow them to take someones money and do nothing for them. The Family Law Courts in Kern County should no allow it!! I truly recommend going out of Kern County to hire a lawyer...

Ms. Etcheverry is by far the best family law attorney in Kern County. I was referred to her by at least 10 people who all said get her before your X does she's agressive and knows her stuff. I trusted the people who referring her to me and I'm so happy I did. She is very agressive and know every m...ove to make!! I agree with the good reviews here if you want the best she is going to be busy but use her cell phone and trust in her and do as she says. She knows exactly what she's doing and she saved me. I can't thank her enough!
