Ira Lemuel Stoker

I have a friend who has hired this idiot and she is no further ahead on her case than when it started. They just asked her for $10k more to proceed on her case; however, she has NEVER received one statement from their office to account for their time. He took no notes the time I was with her and then... she has to keep sending the same paperwork over and over. Very disorganized and unprofessional. I'm surprised that the judges allow him to keep asking for continuance after continuance. He told her not to go to the very first court appearance and was completed surprised that she showed up. Our guess is that he was going to say 'the judge continued the case' if she didn't show up!

Mr. Stoker was my second attorney. I had lost custody of one of my children to their Father. Mr. Stoker was able to get back into court, and prove the types of alienation tactics that his Father was using on him to persuade my son to live with him. Mr. Stoker got my son back and our family together a...gain.

Beware! Took 4 years of this man and the other lawyer (maybe a very good friend of his? Conflict of interest?) constantly continuing my case, which and they never could resolve it. Once I figured out Stoker was not on my side I fired him after trying to discuss it with him. It felt like I was talki...ng to a 2 year old... I got a new lawyer who basically did the job for Stoker AND the opposing lawyer. Stoker was overcharged for everything, (example: $30 for a ONE (1)-page fax) including $400 every time he got the judge to continue. He said, "SOMEbody has to pay for it!" After I received the bill he was lucky I paid half. He never asked for the rest. He and the other lawyer KNEW then and they know today, how to overcharge clients, waste the court time, the Judge's time, my time, the other party's time. Not to mention the time of all the others who were waiting for their own cases to be called!! Ira Stoker is a lying, unprofessional, unethical, dishonest, greedy lawyer. The definition of 'incompetence' and he needs to be disbarred! I will never, ever recommend this man to anyone. And if he gets on here and denies that this is his client review board, just know that he is still lying.

This man promised to get me more custody on the first court date and even more custody over six months. We went to court only one time and nothing changed except for a little more holiday time that the other party asked for. They told me to be at there office with some paperwork when they opened and ...when I got there I waited for over an hour before they called me and told me to leave it in the mailbox. He never even brought it to court or even looked at it. It has been two months and he still has not filed the paperwork for after the hearing. He has been disciplined by the bar for previous cases and I am personally writing the bar so that this man has to answer for his actions. I have called several times since then and no one has ever called me back. If you hire him he will tell you whatever you want to hear then just steal your money!
