I have the experience to provide you the best possible legal representation in the Ventura County Superior Court. I am a former Supervising Prosecutor and Major Crimes Attorney in the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. During my 17-year-career, I supervised the prosecution of all of the following offenses:
I have tried nearly every type of criminal case ranging from Domestic Violence to capital murder. I will put my experience to work for you!
At our initial meeting, I will listen carefully to you and explain the legal and factual issues that are likely to arise in your case. Using my experience, I will outline a strategy that is designed to give you the best possible chance for a successful outcome in court.
I am currently an Adjunct Proffessor at Pepperdine University School of Law. In addition to training law students, I have instructed countless lawyers and police officers concerning the rules of evidence, criminal procedure, criminal law and defenses to crimes.
I have an excellent reputation in the Ventura County Justice system that is based on two decades of success in front of judges and juries. Most importantly, however, I care about my clients. I want to protect and safeguard their rights, and to prevent the justice system from turning their lives upside down. I approach every case with passion and dedication.
If you or a loved one are arrested for a criminal offense in Ventura County, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I am confident that no other lawyer will take the time to thoroughly explain your case and the law in the same way that I can. I look forward to hearing from you.

pro bono work on the case of son.

"I endorse this lawyer. Bill has not only the knowledge based on his years as a senior prosecutor, but he has the temperament a lawyer needs to be successful in court as well as in negotiations with the opposition. He is a great attorney and colleague."
"I worked for Mr. Haney at the Ventura Country District Attorney's Office and currently am a practicing attorney in Ventura and Los Angeles County. Mr. Haney is one of best trial attorneys I have ever seen. He also practices law with the upmost honesty and integrity."
"I endorse this lawyer. He is an exceptional criminal defense lawyer and trial attorney. Mr. Haney is passionate about each and every case he accepts and gets incredible results for his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. Bill is without a doubt one of the most intelligent attorneys I have ever met. I went to law school with him and then watched him become the top homicide prosecutor in Ventura County. There is not a single prosecutor, police officer, or defense attorney who does not consider Bill the best at what he does."
