Stephen Louis Mitnick

I hired Mr. Mitnick to represent me in a divorce suit. I felt he misinformed me about a TRO by telling me I could not go back to my house were my ex was living to gather some of my personal belongings. I later found out the TRO had not been issued yet. He never helped me get anything above what she ...was asking for, unless I asked first. He never explained the pros and cons of each issue. I would have to ask for three times as much of anything I wanted because he would tell me there's no way you can get that and talk me down, when I did push an issue I got what I wanted. The most annoying thing he did was quit my case 2 weeks before it was over stating there was nothing left for him to do. Yet within a week my ex brought suit against me for an insurance settlement and because I was in the process of moving I didn't pick up my mail in time to make it to the trail and lost thru default. If he had stayed on the case the notification would have gone thru him and would of been able to appear with representation. Mr Mitnick new there was an unresolved issue and told me she would have to prove I owed her more money, but I never got the chance. Thanks a lot !!

I retained Mr. Mitnick in 2006 when my X had not paid me alimony for 6 months after I moved out of state and filed papers to end the alimony and only by chance I learned of the X's filing papers by looking on line myself, as his attorney (Alan Greenfeld, don't use him! lol) had not even served me ...at all!! I called Mr. Mitnick and his secretary communicated with me and helped me to feel confident that everything was being taken care of . I did not have to put out the expense of returning to California for Mr Mitnick took care of everything.. He got a wage assignment so I did not have to worry again. I would and will be retaining Mr Mitnick again with all the confidence in the world that he has my interest at heart and will fight for my rights. I have had plenty bad experiences with attorneys..but Mr Mitnick has the character and dignity that is not always easy to find . Thank you for reading..

I came to Mr. Mitnick after 6+ years of fighting a custody battle and literally being ripped off by two local attorneys. At this point,I had paid in excess of $45,000. The Mediator had determined that my son's father could take him out of State and I would be left w/ 2 weekends a month. I walked awa...y sobbing,fired my attorney and remembered that several people had mentioned the name Mitnick. I called and within 6 months,I had full physical custody of my son.
