I recommend Steve Mitnick

Steve is a technical expert! I have been a client for 8+ years and have no complaints. Steve and Trini have always returned my emails and phone calls. He is very savvy on the military and helping service members through their divorces and child custody matters, this in turn has allowed me to serve... my country and care for my child without worry or stress. Thank you Steve!

Great attorney that makes a bad time in life easier to handle

I was refered to Mr Mitnick from a family friend who had used his services for a marriage dissolution. The said he was really easy to talk to, understand , and always kept you informed and up to date. After a 25 year marriage of mine failed, I was just lost on what needed to be done. Met with Mr Mi...tnick the first time. Liked that it was a small office and only his assistant and himself ( and Charlie too ) . Not a big firm that shuffles you around. Right off the bat he was easy to talk to, made it super relaxing to be there, and totally explained the different paths to chose from. He is totally reasonable on pricing and explains everything. His knowledge of the family laws and what needs to be done are excellent. I will recommend him to anyone I know that is looking for a divorce attorney. Thanks again Steve and Trini. You made a painful and bad part of my life easier to handle. Much thanks. ( Charlie too. Always made it nice to see him in the office ).

No good at all!!

I hired Mr Mitnick in 2006 and thought he was grand..but in 2013 I used him again and he charged me thousands and then told me 4 months in that I needed a QDRO attorney and he did not do QDRO's. It was all I needed and he had told me early on that the retirement division was not written up clearly... in the 2003 LegaL Separation and that had to be corrected. WHY didn't he till me then that all I needed was a QDRO attorney and that he did do QDROS?? Instead of charging me thousand of dollars for nothing . He told me to do my homework and I did, sending him link after link of the federal retirement plans with information for attorneys then he tells me he doesn't even do QDROS! WTH? Then I hired another attorney who earned her money, who is a QDRO attorney and all she needed was my original papers. He let the other attorney run the whole show. She "objected" to her client doing a discovery after she filed for me to do one. Why didn't Mr Nitpick object to me doing one!!? I honestly wonder if his own divorce has made him bitter toward woman or maybe he just needs to retire. I fired him and went to represent myself for my back support and won my case without him! I withdraw my previous recommendation and feel very disappointed in his conduct. Just grind up your money , mix it in your dogs food for at least your dog will get some fiber out of the money! For I honestly feel I got nothing for mine. He should be ashamed of himself, I don't know how he sleeps at night!

Worst attorney I have ever worked with

Steve didn't know anything about stock options I had to do all research. He doesn't know how to use basic functionality in Word to be able to track changes in the divorce document. I had to write my own Gavron warning as he didn't have an example language. He never provided pros and cons always ju...st advised taking the deal. I finally had to hire another attorney to review the document to ensure I was protected in the document. Doesn't return calls, doesn't call with new information. Keeps his dog in the office during meetings. Doesn't take notes during a conference meeting .

Could not recomend

I hired Mr. Mitnick to represent me in a divorce suit. I felt he misinformed me about a TRO by telling me I could not go back to my house were my ex was living to gather some of my personal belongings. I later found out the TRO had not been issued yet. He never helped me get anything above what she ...was asking for, unless I asked first. He never explained the pros and cons of each issue. I would have to ask for three times as much of anything I wanted because he would tell me there's no way you can get that and talk me down, when I did push an issue I got what I wanted. The most annoying thing he did was quit my case 2 weeks before it was over stating there was nothing left for him to do. Yet within a week my ex brought suit against me for an insurance settlement and because I was in the process of moving I didn't pick up my mail in time to make it to the trail and lost thru default. If he had stayed on the case the notification would have gone thru him and would of been able to appear with representation. Mr Mitnick new there was an unresolved issue and told me she would have to prove I owed her more money, but I never got the chance. Thanks a lot !!
