Where do I begin?? Is a saying I've used more times then I could count over the last three years. I was going through a nasty divorce, starting a new job, and not able to see my children. I was continually giving money to lawyers and receiving no results, the majority of the time without an expla...nation as to where my money was going or where my case stood. I was completely in the dark in almost every aspect concerning my divorce and custody due to the legal jargon and countless 3-5 minute hearings where I was told to be quiet and just stand next to "my" attorney. After the hearings I would be told to whom and how much I needed to pay, as well as how much more time was taken away concerning the visitation of my children. 3 years of following everything to the letter and accepting what my professional lawyer told me would be to the benefit of my case. I was confused as to I got in the position I was in. After my final divorce hearing I was left with less money, less time with my children, and an almost broken spirit. The opposing party by this time had gotten comfortable with my attorneys doing nothing and only providing lip service. The withholding of "court ordered parenting time had gotten to almost 5 months!
