Pamela Tahim is the Principal Attorney and Founder of Thakur Law Firm. Pamela maintains a diverse practice that includes providing litigation and transactional services in the areas of employment, real estate, business, entertainment, tax/estate planning and health care law. Over her 11 years of practice, Pamela has extensive litigation experience and tried both jury and court cases in state and federal court. She handles disputes from pre-litigation negotiation through jury trial or bench verdict, individual and complex class action cases, and at administrative hearings and investigations by various state and federal agencies. Pamela also regularly provides advice and counseling to employees and employers of all sizes to assist with compliance, and provide measures to avoid litigation.

Pamela previously worked as Senior Associate at southern California law firm Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle LLP for over nine (9) years and as co-chair of the firm’s Healthcare practice and has represented numerous physicians and their practices. While at her prior firm, she second-chaired the largest jury trial victory of over $13 million in a misappropriation of trade secrets case. Pamela is an excellent negotiator and has settled numerous matters before litigation and can handle cases through appeal. She was also legal counsel in the first ever binding federal jury trial arbitration in California.

Pamela graduated with a J.D. and LLM in Taxation from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 2005. Pamela was the sole recipient in her graduating class of the USD Excellence in Trial Advocacy Award for her achievements in the USD Law Mock Trial Team, Moot Court, and Tax Litigation. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the USD Order of Barristers.

During law school, Pamela worked as a law clerk in the civil division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and as a student attorney in the USD Tax Clinic. Prior to law school, Pamela received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Spanish at UCLA. She is multi-lingual in Spanish, Hindi and Punjabi.

Pamela is heavily involved and passionate about working in the non-profit sector and is Co-Founder of the non-profit Kind-Hearted Compassion in Action Foundation and Treasurer of Women’s Transitional Living Center. She formerly served as President and Vice-President of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California, Public Interest Foundation. Pamela is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, South Asian Bar Association of Southern California, and the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce. She is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Orange County Bar Association’s Health Care Section. Pamela is admitted to practice before all California state courts, the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Tax Court.

Refuge In a tumultuous storm is what stands out most !

My story was one of a Giant Goliath overwhelming the small guy. The short of story is that after 2years of court battles, motions and costly out of state depositions, we still prevailed.
