Excellent Family Law Attorney

Let me begin with saying this review is way overdue as I am not one to write reviews. But, Steve is an extraordinary person and attorney and truly fights for what is in the best interest of children. I worked in criminal court and I was in need of a family law attorney as my ex-husband was taking me... to court for a modification of child custody and it was very contentious as he was making false allegations against me, and was only trying to get more custody time with our daughter to reduce his child support. My case also involved chid molestation that occurred on dad's custody time by his brother-in-law and there was a pending criminal trial against this individual. In addition to myself being bullied by dad's entire family. This entire situation was extremely stressful. That is when I asked another court employee that had worked in the Family Law Division for a referral. She referred me to Mr. Dragna. That is when I finally felt a sense of relief. I had a hearing pretty quick because Mr. Dragna was on top of it. Let's just say it was so contentious that my case was a total of 3 days in court. Mr. Dragna was always early, prepared and very professional. I felt the odds were against me because the court investigator believed dads lies and manipulation and it appeared that the investigator just did not like me and her report to the court was completely against me. Mr. Dragna subpoenaed her to appear in court and let me tell you Mr. Dragna's questioning just completely tripped her up and exposed her biases to the judge. Not to mention Mr. Dragna's closing argument. It gives me chills to this day and even the judge was repeating statements from his closing arguments which just goes to show how powerful his argument and statements were to the judge. The end result was completely in my favor or I should really say my daughters favor. Dad was denied his request and had to pay for my attorney fees. Steve is not one of the best he is the BEST family law attorney and I could not recommend him enough!.

IGNORANT AT LAW, JEOPARDIZES WELL BEING OF CHILD

He put our wonderful lil child in a sexual deviants house. Our eight-year-old son has his adult male brother who is 22 years old taking tons of penis pictures with the nine-year-olds phone totally stark but naked in public parks holding his ID like a weirdo..... This is what Steven dragnet does he pu...t children in predicaments and terrible homes he helps to ruin their life because his Yale law degree keeps him cocky and ignorant. he lies under oath, he has an fragile ego and will use his power to hurt you and your child. the child calls and is recorded cry and very sad in this weird mothers home

The above post leaves out facts which materially change the above post. After the "court" removed the child from "Mike", the court also suspended his legal custody and parenting time. The "court" then placed the child with his Mother. I received a phone call from "Mike's" attorney on Saturday the 13th of February and as soon as that call ended, I contacted Mother's attorney and made arrangements to have the "older brother" removed from her home. On February 18th the court issued an order confirming the removal of the older brother from Mother's home.

Great Family Lawyer

Mr. Dragna is a great choice for any family case, but especially if yours is complicated. I retained Steve as he worked to get a change of custody for an out of state dad. What struck me about Steve is that he genuinely cared about the case and my girls. He was always very efficient and mindful about... the hours he was charging. He recommended to me things I could do myself to keep costs low and what was best left in the hand of a professional. He is a superior courtroom lawyer, and always impressed me with his professionalism and thoroughness. Ultimately, he facilitated a favorable outcome in my case, and the courts granted a move-away out of state (which, I hear, is rare). I think if I didn’t have Steve representing me, things may have turned out differently. I can’t recommend him enough.

By Far the Best Family Law Attorney and previous President of the Bar

To be put simply , Steve Dragna changed my divorce process quickly and matter of factly. First let me start by saying I was divorcing an ATTORNEY, who was well versed in the process and had legal expertise in the loop holes of how the system works and pulled every card he could to make it difficul...t. After broken promises and plowing through TWO divorce attorneys, (including a very high profile one ) who quickly ate into all my savings in a matter of a few months and almost 100k later with no court date, and a lien was put on my house still making no headway whatsoever I was spent! I was stressed out emotionally and financially by the time I was referred to Steve. He was also president of the bar in the past and had practiced for over 37 years which made me feel confident in his experienced litigation with over 5,000 divorce cases over the years. He said quite honestly," We need to end this as quickly as possible for your sanity and for your children's well being ". That said from the time I hired him to represent me to the time my divorce was settled it was 6 weeks from start to finish. I was taken to court for three ex parte hearings , which were denied during the process. His no nonsense attitude and integrity restored my faith in having an ETHICAL and HONEST attorney who wasn't out to pencil push billable hours and deplete my children's college savings. I have gratitude for his kindness, integrity and professionalism while other attorneys can take advantage of a financial battle front he simplified my goal of finishing my tumultuous divorce with dignity. If you are looking for someone who is fair and ethical , there is only one attorney I could recommend! When you meet him. there is a trust that you sense right away you are in the hands of someone who will fight for your rights swiftly and justly. I am thankful for his representation and the human aspect he puts back into the court system when all other lawyers seem to treat you like another number to make them richer. I can't say enough wonderful things about my representation even though the process is extremely painful to go through. My divorce wasn't easy by any means and could have been drawn out but he changed that course pretty quickly. I hope this review helps others in deciding which attorney is best for them to use.

Killed it

Worked with Steve through my divorce and a SS extension request. He did a great job both times. He was more experienced and sharper than the opposition. I hope I don't need his help again but if I do, he's my first call.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I was opposed in a high-stakes family law matter by Steve Dragna. The case involved a significant number of contested, and complicated, legal and factual issues regarding property and support. Mr. Dragna fought very hard for his client, and he demonstrated a high degree of professional competency. Despite our clients’ understandably emotional reactions to the issues in the case, Mr. Dragna always treated me and my client with professional courtesy. In another case involving child custody, Mr. Dragna demonstrated care and concern, not only for the welfare of his client, but also for the welfare of the parties’ children. Together, we were able to craft a settlement of a very difficult and emotionally charged dispute. I highly recommend Mr. Dragna."
