Biography
Cynthia is a distinguished third-generation California attorney, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father, both accomplished trial lawyers. Her legal journey began after she graduated at the top of her class at Loma Linda University with a nursing degree, later earning her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Western State University College of Law in 1999. As a key member of Kayla’s Survivors, Cynthia is known for her unique blend of legal ingenuity and medical insight, advocating passionately for survivors of sexual abuse. Her trauma-informed, client-centered approach is deeply rooted in experience and empathy.
Before her impactful role at Kayla’s Survivors, Cynthia's career included significant accomplishments in mass torts and catastrophic injury litigation. As a partner at Robinson Calcagnie, Inc., she helped secure a landmark $417 million verdict against Johnson & Johnson, which earned her a CLAY award. With a robust foundation in medical and pharmaceutical litigation, Cynthia's national recognition extends to speaking engagements and participation in multi-district litigation panels. She is admitted to practice in all California state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Supreme Court. Cynthia’s prestigious accolades include being recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
