Sue graduated from the University of San Francisco, with honors in 1977, with a B.S. degree in Nursing, followed by a M.S.N. and Nurse Practitioner Certificate from California State University Long Beach. Prior to law school she worked as a Nurse Practitioner and Director of Nursing, taught classes through the nursing outreach program at University of California Irvine Medical Center, and performed medical/legal chart reviews. She is a former member of the Orange County Health Planning Counsel.
Ms. Angell obtained her law degree in 1996 from Thomas Jefferson College of Law in San Diego, graduating Cum Laude. While in law school she was a member of Law Review, received 3 American Jurisprudence awards and a CALI award for academic excellence. She also had the distinction of completing a Judicial Internship in Civil Law & Motion and was a certified law clerk for the San Diego District Attorney's Office.
