When we were working to finalizing the negotiations and the other side was not budging, and neither were we, she was able to showcase what moving forward past negotiations into the litigation stage would look like for both myself and my employer. This was enough for my company to settle for what we asked for, much more than what Dawn had said was typical to expect from this type of case. Happy unfortunately is not a word one can use regardless of outcome - the mix of emotions of being forced out and one’s reputation being destroyed, however I left much more than satisfied. Dawn is an amazing advocate for people who like me who don't know the law and what our options are during layoffs.
