Many thanks to Dawn Knepper for was instrumental in helping me navigate this unknown world of using an employment lawyer to help negotiate an exit based on discrimination and whistleblower retaliation. Not only was Dawn able to keep me informed and educated every step of the way, there may have been... many times when she had to even play the role of “Therapist” - such a mix of emotions, from anger, sadness, shock but Dawn kept me focused on what was important and helped manage expectations. When we were working to finalizing the negotiations and the other side was not budging, and neither were we, she was able to showcase what moving forward past negotiations into the litigation stage would look like for both myself and my employer.
