Bradley R. Kirk & Associates

I hired Bradley R. Kirk and Associates to represent me after I learned that my brother filed a personal lawsuit against me for $500k, after my mother's death. Mr. Kirk promised me that if I gave him $25k, that he would handle all legal matters and this process would take 4 to 6 months. This was... not the case. To date, this matter is not completely resolved and I feel that Mr. Kirk took advantage of my vulnerability, as I was grieving the death of my mother, and he knew of my disabilities. During the last 7 years I have paid Mr. Kirk over $200k because he continued to delay and actually threatened to drop the case if I didn't give him additional funds. Before I hired Mr. Kirk, I paid another attorney to privately tape my mother's last wishes. Mr. Kirk did not use this key testimony until the end when I had no more money to give him. He told me that he would not take this matter to Court as he would get into trouble for the exhorbant amount of money I paid him and he said that the Court would most likely not rule in my favor. I have copies of every check I wrote to this attorney firm and never was I given a receipt or an itemized statement of the services he provided. In 2023, I had to pay $300 to a moving company to remove 43 boxes of documents from his office, most of which were not relevant to the case (i.e. my mother's medical records). I am disappointed and distraught that Mr. Kirk took most of the money I had from me and now I'm disabled, on a fixed income, and extremely concerned about my financial future. I strongly recommend that any potential new client thouroughly research this firm before hiring them or giving them any money. I feel totally betrayed and deceived.

Worst possible decision made

It’s like hiring yourself not sure if they know about law. Jacob D is someone who will take your money and say it’s best if you handle it. Will not talk to you are even listen to your case does what he wants probably spending your money while you are worried about your case so don’t go to these lawye...r. The website says aggressive litigator doesn't seem so Jacob is one who may not even fight for you but take your money. They are a joke

We are very proud that over the past seven years our firm has earned twenty-two 5-star reviews on Avvo. We invite you to read all of them. Our lead attorney, Bradley Kirk, is a certified specialist in trust and probate litigation and has tried over 100 trust/probate cases through to judgment. We are known to be a firm of tough litigators that obtain stellar results for clients in the most challenging complex trust and probate litigation cases. We don’t know who this particular poster is [they never contacted us before posting - and they posted anonymously], and we do not know any of our clients to have had this type of experience in working with us. We are certainly disappointed that this particular poster felt this way, but we will continue to work hard to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality legal representation available.

Certified Public Accountant

Hired Attorney Kirk to remove co-trustee, who had commented elder abuse, fraud, and much worse with my Grandmothers estate. I was a hard client, and Brad did a great job. It took some time, was expensive, but worth every penny. I am grateful he was my attorney. He is straight forward, honest, and... knows how to put a case together! We went to arbitration to settle and Brad was fantastic, organized, had EVERYTHING documented, and right a his finger tips. My case was complicated and not easy, had it not been for Brad I would have lost everything.

Winning spirit

I had a very complicated case, not one that was easy to defend. I employed two attorneys prior to Brad who were unable to successfully resolve the case. Brad and his staff were thorough in their discovery and knowledge of the case from every angle. He was able to get us into mediation and negotiate... them down to 1/4 the cost of what they were suing me for. He was also able to avoid going to trial which save me hundreds of thousands of dollars. In addition to being a stellar attorney, he was always sensitive to my needs during a very difficult three-year period. With great confidence, I highly recommend his firm.

Bradley R Kirk and Jacob DeVilliers

We worked with Jacob at first but when it came to trial Brad took over to my dismay, he did not follow through with anything that we gave him. I did become trustee of the Evelyn June Luna Trust, but the real property in the trust had been encumbered with an illegal loan taken out by the former trust...ee, Brad kept telling me to just pay the loan but the loan company would not work with me because the loan was a personal loan of the former trustee beneficiary. Nothing got resolved with that loan and it has cost the beneficiaries approximately 60,000. He recommended an attorney he knew to go forward with the illegal loan but that attorney Patrick L Lund had been taking clients funds and not following through which he did once again with us to the tune of$92,000. Mr. Kirk wrote up an illegal contract with us which I did not know at the time, but since have researched and found to be a voidable contract because of the writing of it. Still nothing has been resolved even though I have gone to the state bar with it.Be careful on how they write up a contingency contract with you, research how those contracts should be written up and make sure they are written up correctly because it can cost you many years and funds if it is not written up right right

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"By the time Brad got involved with this matter, there were 5 or 6 other attorneys sending self-serving paperwork with the court. Brad filed a simple set of paper that pinpointed the important issues, which served as an island from which the judge was able to regain control of the situation. Brad is now my top choice for probate court litigation."
