Not a good experience
I hired Chris to represented in an easily winnable case I paid him a retainer up until trial. He tried to drag the case out hoping it would get dismissed. He failed to file a motion to supress even when my private investigator and I could prove the detective clearly lied on his probable cause to arre...

Replied last June 26, 2024Mr. Wagner understands and respects the right of each person to have an opinion. Mr. Wagner's opinion is that the case was a risky one for trial. Therefore he tried everything he could do to get it dismissed or to get a reduction to a misdemeanor before commencing with trial, (the client was later convicted at trial with his new attorney). Mr. Wagner did not see a valid motion to suppress evidence on the case. No refund was available because the billable hours on the trial preparation and pretrial motion preparation exceeded the fee obtained.
