Biography
John F. Cannon is a Certified Family Law Specialist with vast experience in all aspects of family law litigation, ranging from complex and high-net-worth matters to custody and domestic violence issues. Since becoming an attorney in 2004, Mr. Cannon has practiced solely in the Southern California Family Courts of Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, Los Angeles, and San Diego counties.
Prior to joining The Grey Legal Group, Mr. Cannon has held the position of Senior Associate Attorney and the only Certified Family Law Specialist at the firms of Singleton Smith Law Offices and the Law Offices of H. William Edgar. Mr. Cannon previously held managerial positions as Partner, Supervising Attorney, and Senior Associate Attorney at three other Southern California family law firms. Mr. Cannon also previously founded and administered his own family law firm, where he gained invaluable experience in every aspect of family law proceedings, from inception to trial.
Mr. Cannon’s experience and expertise in Family Law have not only assisted him in achieving the status of a Certified Law Specialist but has also led to being appointed as counsel for indigent Defendants in contempt cases by the San Bernardino Superior Court. He has also been a featured speaker at continuing education seminars for other family law attorneys, including the NBI Advanced Family Law MCLE Seminar.
Mr. Cannon has also been a member of the following organizations: San Bernardino County Bar Association - Family Law Section; Association of Certified Family Law Associates; Orange County Bar Association - Family Law Section; San Diego County Bar Association - Family Law Section; East West Family Law Council Bar Association; and has served on the Board of Directors for the East West Family Law Council.

Replied last July 28, 2016I am prohibited due to ethical considerations from commenting directly on this client's statements. However, I can say with certainty that I always present all options to the client, as well as being prepared to go forward with all hearings. Additionally, I have never forced any client to choose a settlement the client was not comfortable agreeing to, and I certainly will not "back down" if a client chooses to go forward with a hearing. Sometimes, compromising or choosing to settle will later leave a client with the feeling of buyer's remorse. And anytime a client has an issue with their bill or charges on their account, we encourage a client to discuss the issue with our office.
