A Refreshing Gem

Our criminal justice system is largely built around fear and threat of incarceration, often times unjustifiably. The most used tactic of Police and DA is to reduce you to a human wreck so that you’d take “whatever” they throw at you unconditionally. At time like this, the last you need is another sca...remonger playing your defense. What you’d need most is to have a chance to calm down and recuperate, and to have a steady hand to help you reset and figure out the best way forward. Ms. Samaniego fits these bills perfectly and all at once. She is calm, earnest, responsive and straightforward prescribing and addressing your trouble exactly as it is and as it is needed to be, no more no less. This rare combination of razor-sharp legal competency and soothing demeanor really helped me right-the-wrong in a very difficult juncture of my life. I’m very grateful to Ms. Samaniego’s help and highly recommend her service to anyone in need of justice and compassion. She’s a gem.

Not a good experience

I hired Celine without meeting her face to face out of desperation to help my Daughter. I paid her lot of money I did not have, and it turned out the Public Defender could have done a better job. She never went to see my Daughter, instead sent another Lawyer who was totally unprepared, knew nothing a...bout the case. Never talked to her prior to the hearing, just told her to plead guilty. As a result she got a DUI conviction for having an MD prescribed medication on her. They never got back to me with the result of her blood test. She overlooked and missed the next court appearance, and it was handled by a Public Defender. I am sorry I wasted my money on this kind of poor legal representation, and did not work with the Public Defender. I would not recommend her.

To clarify: This client was charged with various drug charges and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Her toxicology report came back positive for Both prescription and non prescription drugs. The prescription drugs were also highly over the recommended dosage. My competent colleague was able to dismiss all charges and she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI and received credit for time served. The other court date that I was accused of missing, was a completely different felony violation of probation case that I was not hired for.
