Shumika is an amazing attorney. She is not out to do anyone dirty or lie about anything. She was very honest with me and I was with her. She had great communication with me during my whole divorce case. Even when my ex's attorney failed to even educate themselves on the case and attempted to play di...rty pool, Shumika stood her ground on what was right and didn't stoop to their level. Shumika and I were a team on everything, working together like a well oiled machine. I recommend her to anyone in need of an attorney. I received a speeding ticket by a police officer who decided that passing a slow car all while traveling the same speed as other cars around you is considered bad. I am not saying I wasn't speeding, but what I am saying is everyone else was speeding too. Why he picked my little Nissan out of the crow...d I do not know. I was going to just deal with it, but then I remembered that I have ARAG through my job which is legal insurance. I went to the website and chose a lawyer from a list of people. I picked Shumika Sookdeo because I recognized her from Yelp as a pop up advertisement. I checked the review (only one) And decided why not. Shumika is stern, blunt and to the point, but still manage to somehow come across as friendly and trusting. The only slight issue I had was that after she went to court for me, I wasn't contacted within a week. I did call, however and her secretary provided me with the information right away. I still have to pay the ticket, but charge was downgraded to coasting. This means no points on my DMV record. Yay. Thanks.
