Biography
Jeff Gwynn has over 20 years of legal experience having worked at worked at both large and specialized firms. This varied experience has given him a comprehensive breadth of knowledge in commercial, business and real estate matters. Jeff has substantial experience in bankruptcy, construction and employment law. Previously, he was part owner in a construction company and has in-depth knowledge of the complex legal and employment issues involved in such operations.
Jeff is an accomplished trial attorney who has prevailed in numerous cases in state and federal courts. While he has deftly handled many settlements, arbitrations and mediations, Jeff understands that some adversaries are so intransigent that only a judge and jury can resolve the case. On the other hand, he is keenly aware of the financial stress and uncertainty inherent in litigation. Jeff is a skilled tactician at supporting settlement from a position of strength.
A particular point of pride for Jeff is his pre-litigation counseling. He strives to reduce risk and uncertainty by carefully reviewing client practices and providing detailed advice on legal compliance before issues can become liabilities.
In addition to being admitted in California, Jeff is also licensed to practice law in Texas. He has practiced before the Southern, Northern, Central, and Eastern Districts of the United States District Courts in California and is admitted to the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Moreover, Jeff is a licensed real estate broker in the State of California.
