2 years ago I found myself in a terrible situation trying to find a reputable attorney for my older brother who was living in 29 Palms. My 2 year old case was concluded in early March 2017 and, being fair to the charges against me, I was very pleased with the negotiated outcome. Michael is a skilled RIverside County DUI attorney. He is professional, gutty, and knows the tricky terrain of DUI law in California. He is well connected with the DA's office, and the DMV. We had a difficult case with hostile witnesses, an accident, and numerous other factors that did not bode we...ll for my defense. To my credit, I kept my mouth shut, refused any/all chemical/PAS/Field Sobriety Tests, and called Michael the day after my arrest. Michael was a true pro from the beginning. He noted my injuries, police misconduct, sent investigators out, and immediately began working with the D.A. to attain a favorable outcome with the Superior Court. My goal was simple - there was to be NO DUI on my record. A Wet Reckless would have been satisfactory. Michael did one better, much better ... a Dry Reckless! The odds of attaining that plea are minimal at best, and I credit Michael's experience for my very favorable outcome. My insurance increase, fines, court time, and DUI classes were minimal. After consulting with other attorneys dealing with DUI cases and finding most of them making unfounded claims of sucess with no loss of drivers license or jail time and some seeming only to be interested in obtaining a retainer fee, and others offering very inexpensive fees, (which felt like a DUI mi...ll) Michael Goldstein exceeded my expectations in the final disposition he actually won the DMV hearing (which I understand is a rare event) I did not lose any driving privileges did not need to attend any alcohol abuse classes or do any community service. As this was my first and only offense (and my last) I paid a substational fine and was placed on probation. Michael did not over sell or over promise any results but said he would do the best possible job for me. He went as far as hiring outside experts for testimony at the DMV hearing (at my expense and with my approval) and the funds I spend were well worth the outcome. He was not the cheapest or the most expensive attorney I consulted with, but he was the best and he and his staff made me feel that I was in good hands and releived me of much worry. I would highly recommend Michael Goldstein as a very well versed attorney with much experience in this type of case.
