Michael Bernard Goldstein

I didn't have any prior convictions when I was charged with a DUI. The case was dragged out 2 1/2 yrs "in case" dirt came up on the arresting officers (none did). Finally, he gave me option to plead guilty or go to trial with likelihood of guilty conviction by jury and harsher sentence. I plead guilt...y. I paid him to hopefully help me get a reduced charge but that was never offered in all the time we waited. I still had to pay thousands in court penalties, DUI classes, suspended license, reinstatement of license, 3 yrs of SR-22 insurance, and after that years of sky-high car insuarance. Basically, by hiring him, I prolonged my conviction and now the DUI appears on my driving record as having happened more recently than it did since the clock doesn't start ticking until conviction date. I wish he had been up front about that, and that most people do NOT get their charges reduced. Not a single person in the DUI classes I had to take got anything less after hiring attorneys, including the people I met who were also hired Michael Goldstein. It was a frightening and costly lesson for me, and I learned my lesson the hard way. Booze just isn't a friend, and neither was Michael, who admitted that he sometimes gets drunk & falls asleep at night in his chair. Ugh.
