Richard Collins Houghton

Richard Collins Houghton has been a practicing attorney for over 35 years. He is licensed in California, Massachusetts and Oregon. During the first 15 years of his legal career his focus was primarily on a successful litigation practice representing businessmen and women, and professionals, in trial litigation. He has tried over 75 jury trials and hundreds of court trials. For the last 15 years he has worked as an attorney representing business owners and professionals in their family law matters, trying to keep them out of court.  His practice is now focused on drafting agreements like prenuptial agreements and martial settlement agreements to avoid litigation, or working with his clients who have had litigation filed against them to resolve those issues preventing settlement in the most cost effective and successful manner. His office frequently uses alternative dispute resolution resources, as well as the services of retired judges to expedite resolution of cases as quickly as possible.
