“I enjoy practicing in this area of law because it gives me an opportunity to help a segment of our population escape from the financial ruin that can result from a stay in a nursing home. Helping a family in need, when all seems lost, affords me personal rewards that no other area of law can offer.”

Time waster
My first meeting with Scott was wonderful. I was so nervous about my situation and he really took the time to listen and give a realistic strategy for how to handle my case. After that initial meeting, I had gathered all the information Scott needed and called back a week later. He didn't get back to...
This "client" never was a client. She came in and had hours of free advice and then was upset when I decided that her case was not a good fit for my office.
"Richard Stewart is an experienced attorney whose participation and comments in Avvo show his commitment to serving clients as well as his level of experience. He is an excellent attorney that I recommend wholeheartedly."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have know Attorney Stewart for seven years. He is highly respected in his specialized area of law and well known in the legal community. He is the go to attorney for local media when they are doing stories that are meant to inform the public about issues concerning elder law and he should be the go to attorney for all issues dealing with elder law. Honest, sincere, and a caring attorney for not only his clients, but for those affected by issues affecting his clients."
"Even though Mr. Stewart is somewhat new to Avvo his answers are consistently accurate, informative and customized to the needs of the Avvo asker. These are precisely the qualities that any client would be looking for in an attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. Because Attorney Stewart and I practice in some of the same areas of law, I have had the privilege of reviewing many of his answers to Avvo questions. His answers reflect a depth of knowledge and a desire to provide practical guidance to the asker. Attorney Stewart is a tremendous resource for Avvo and I look forward to learning more about California elder law and probate procedures from his future answers. Anyone needing a top-notch probate, estate planning and elder law attorney in Southern California would do well to consider Richard Stewart. James Frederick"

"I have known Mr. Stewart professionally for over 8 years now, having referred many elderly clients to him for legal assistance. His experience in handling matters involving the complex areas of estate planning and securing Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits has proven extemely valueable for the clients I have referred, and I have always received positive feedback about the quality of service and care provided by Mr. Stewart from those clients whom I have referred. I continue to refer clients to Mr. Stewart when the need arises, and I strongly endorse this lawyer."
"I highly endorse this lawyer. Scott is a very bright and well-respected lawyer in the community. I readily refer my clients to him for any Medi-Cal planning and/or estate planning needs."
