Tamim Jami

For those who are capable, the protection of the public is the highest priority. San Diego Patent Attorney Tamim Jami embraces this tenet as the true genius of America. It is this bedrock premise that guides the vision of his professional law practice. Whether it be the needs of a consumer, employee, or start-up entrepreneur, Mr. Jami provides the zealous advocacy that ensures a level playing field for all.

A native San Diegan, Mr. Jami graduated cum laude from University of San Diego School of Law with an emphasis on intellectual property and business. Prior to his graduate pursuits, he received a B.S. in Engineering with distinction from San Diego State University. Additionally, he holds an Associate degree in Mathematics.

Mr. Jami is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, United States District Court for the Southern District and Central District of California, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and all California courts.

Mr. Jami's devotion to the entrepreneurial spirit first manifested during his teenage years. Through hard work and sacrifice, Mr. Jami began his very first highly profitable business at age 18. Prior to law school, Mr. Jami was a shareholder and financial officer of multiple dealerships in San Diego. He was charged with the task of corporate governance, tax and labor law compliance, risk management analysis and most importantly, complying with California's essential consumer protection statutes.

During law school, Mr. Jami was privileged to serve as an extern clerk for the Honorable Dana M. Sabraw at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California; as a law clerk at Treitler & Hager LLP, a well regarded business firm in San Diego; and as a patent agent at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter, & Hampton LLP.

Notably, one of the reasons Mr. Jami wanted to attend law school was his abiding faith in promoting the principle that we are a nation of laws, not of men. By counseling consumers and employees who dare to stand up against unfair business practices, he hopes ambition is not deterred by the web of bureaucratic regulations, but rather fostered, and rewarded with just outcomes that benefit society at large.

Although he cherishes his time spent working for BigLaw, Mr. Jami has always been dedicated to building a thriving solo practice committed to serving the interests of consumers and employees alike; all the while remaining true to his entrepreneurial spirit at heart and advocacy for–above all else–fairness.
