My ex and I are fairly amicable and it was suggested we mediate our divorce to cut costs. What a joke that turned out to be! Michelle found ways to charge out of thin air apparently. And after spending hours and hours in mediation, everything came down to the last five minutes regarding solutions ...and they weren't even in the ballpark of what my ex and I were already agreeing to!!!!!!! Her secretary would tell us one thing on the phone and Michelle would tell me what I was told was incorrect. It's her employee!! Train her then!!!! Michelle was also always late in getting back to me prior to our first appointment and very cold and short when she did. She'd talk incessantly about her son going off to college and would bill me for this!!!! She's obviously tired of being a lawyer and it shows. I regret the day we used this so-called attorney.

Michelle Sullivan very ably "drives the bus" for me. She makes the decisions per my request, but always in consultation with me. I have avoided emotional decision making which feeds conflict, the primary source of excessive legal fees. Michelle welcomed my cost containment efforts, including filli...ng out income and expense documents myself to avoid costly interviews with staff to collect and organize information for data entry. On a number of occasions she encouraged me to contact my spouse directly to work-out minor financial concerns rather than paying her law firm to respond to a letter from opposing counsel that could have been satisfied with a simple phone call to me from my spouse.
