Biography
Partner, Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP. Scott Finkbeiner is a certified family law specialist with the State Bar Of California and a Fellow of American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Scott's practice encompasses all aspects of Family Law including dissolution of marriage, child custody, visitation and support, post-judgment enforcement actions as well as drafting premarital and postmarital agreements. Scott is the recipient of the prestigious Mike Shea award in 2013 for his work in educating his peers as well as commitment to civility in the legal community. Scott is a frequent lecturer on all issues related to family law. Scott serves on the Board of Directors of the AAML Southern California Chapter (2017). He has previously held numerous leadership positions with the San Diego County Bar Association, including: Co-chair of the Family Law Division (2013); Chairperson of the Lawyer Referral Service (2008-2011); Board of Director (2006-2007), and Chair-Person of the Young New Lawyer Division (2006-2007).

not what I thought I was getting
Pressured to agree to joint custody and shouldn't have done it. Didn't know once I did it would be almost impossible to change.

Do yourself a favor and hire Scott and save time and money. Make sure both parties agree on everything and just hire one attorney not two. Scott can handle the whole divorce and be done. Don't make it complicated. Take it from me been there done it....

Good family law attorney
Mr. Finkbeiner did a great job on my divorce/custody case. He was very good in court, knew the law and was able to get me through a very complicated custody battle with my ex. Mr. Finkbener kept me informed on my case and was responsive to my questions. I definitely recommend him.

Not what I expected
In my year and 3 months of time with him as my lawyer Scott has been reactive and not proactive, on several occasions he waited until hours before the hearing to ask me for pertinent information, not only did he charge me 3 times what he initially said he caused more problems between me and my ex-wif...
