2 Generations

This outstanding Trust Lawyer worked with our family to close our Grandmother’s Generation skipping trust when our Father passed away In 2021. Ruth skillfully guided me through location of documents for these 2 trusts. Her knowledge and ability to negotiate with an investment firm regard partnership percentages for 7 heirs was amazing. Her kind manner resulted in timely compliance with multiple signatures from all 7 heirs even though some traveled outside the United States and within the United States. Both Trusts were amazingly closed in one year. All 7 of us agree we wished we knew about Ruth in 2016 when there was a messy prolonged settlement of our cousins estate by a trust company. Ruth has our deepest appreciation and recommendation.

I met Ruth a coupe of years ago and I have always stayed in touch. My experience with her was phenomenal. She demonstrated great knowledge throughout my ordeal and set adequate expectations throughout the way. What I appreciated most is that even after we received judgment in our favor, she was STILL there when I needed her!

Special Project Director

Ruth was fantastic; she follow up all the details for the transfer of title report which was a complex transaction since it involved a California Department of Housing office and United Methodist Women office in New York. I recommend Mr. Ryan-Cruz to anyone.

Personable, Professional, and Accommodating

I met Ruth on a business to business basis as she helped me with a Spanish Captioning translation I needed for a University promotional video. This is not something she normally does however, she was gracious enough to help me out. For the longest time I wanted to return the favor by utilizing her legal services. This past year with the health crisis being what it was, an opportunity arose. My mother and I decided it was the right time to set up and revise legal documents pertaining to a Revocable Trust, Health Care Directive, and Will. I’m really glad I had the opportunity to work with Ruth in her field of expertise as it was smooth and painless. Then again, that’s what you get when working with an experienced, knowledgeable, and tenured professional. All that and the icing on the cake; her rates are extremely reasonable. I enthusiastically and highly recommend working with Ruth for all of your legal needs.

First time homeowners - Highly recommended

My wife and I recently bought a condo in Mira Mesa. We were leasing the condo from the owner for over a year. One day, the owner told us that she was moving out of CA, and hence, she was selling the condo, so she was giving us our 30 days notice to leave, or an option to buy. Since my wife and I were already considering buying, we started dealing directly with the purchase as a FSBO. It was our first time buying real estate, so we had tons of questions, we didn't understand how the escrow process worked, neither our rights as tenants of the soon to be sold property. So we decided to look for a real-estate attorney. After speaking with Ruth, both my wife and I felt very confident that she understood our needs, so we hired her, and that was one of the best decisions we took during our purchase. From the first call, Ruth was very patient, gave us very clear advise on how to proceed in our situation. Once hired, she immediately went over our purchase agreement, she was very thorough, pointed at errors and gave recommendations. On top of it, she had an amazing response time. A lot of people who have dealt with the escrow process have told us that you end up signing a lot of documents, that you don't have any idea what they meant. We didn't feel that way. Whatever document we sent to Ruth, she explained carefully what it was for, and gave recommendations on how to fill it out. She also guided us over what documents we had to ask the owner, the agents, escrow officer, etc. The purchase of the condo was finally successful, and we look forward to work with Ruth on our will. It goes without saying that we highly recommend her.

Kind and professional

I found Ruth by chance when I had to use a lawyer referral service for my simple will and healthcare directive. I initially only cared that the price was right and the attorney was located close to my home. But Ruth completely blew me away with her professionalism, extensive knowledge, and good attitude. I had to revise my will several times due to all kinds of changes in my life, and she helped me handle every revision promptly and efficiently. There is a certain calm in her demeanor that really helps ease my anxiety. And she deals graciously with my endless questions. I highly recommend her!

We hired Ruth because she was bilingual and my mom and I felt that she genuinely cared about our concerns. Ruth was always very patient to explain our options and kept us informed at all times. Although our case was lost in court their was not much resources available during COVID for event business like ours. We couldn't have gone through with the whole process on our own. INCREDIBLE CREATIVE ATTORNEY!

Ruth is my real estate attorney and my family’s estate attorney. Ruth is an excellent human and an excellent attorney. She is very sympathetic towards her clients and also can be an amazing devils advocate. She understands every single side of the legal situation brought to her. She is sharp! She put my family and I at ease and made us feel comfortable during a very uncomfortable transition. She is a unicorn in the legal field, it is very rare that attorneys are legally creative. Ruth is a very creative attorney who has a powerful grip on the law, empathy and bigger picture. Updated and develop our Living Trust

Highly Recommended!

Ruth was fantastic, efficient, polite and got the job done to a high level. After contacting many lawyers on Avvo who were reluctant to take my case, Ruth responded with a clear outline on how she would tackle it, the possible responses and next steps on each outcome. She couldn't have been clearer, and to add she did it all by email as this was my preferred contact method! In the steps she took she went above and beyond in making sure everything was wrapped up as neatly and quickly as possible which showed an in-depth knowledge in her field. Knowledgeable, cordial, sensitive to your needs

Ruth helped me with "translating" legal documents in terms that I could understand. She pointed out potential obstacles and challenges - recommended solutions and, assured me that, if future difficulties arise, she would be there to represent me. We have established a genuine rapport through the consultation. I hope that I don't need an attorney for this specific matter but I know that if I do, I will be hiring Ruth.
