Gerald Brody was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the University of Florida where he obtained a degree in accounting. Gerald later graduated from the University of Miami Law School in 1969. He became a Vista attorney in Chicago, IL and entered private practice in Ft. Lauderdale, FL after becoming licensed in Florida in 1969. In 1974, Gerald moved to San Diego, CA and became a licensed attorney in California.

He started his own law practice in 1976 handling criminal and personal injury trials. In the early 1980s, he started representing injured workers and joined the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association. Mr. Brody’s practice is now exclusively devoted to handling workers’ compensation cases for injured workers.
