Biography
I am a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. My practice is solely focused on family law issues, including divorce, custody, visitation, complex property characterization and division, child support, spousal support, post-dissolution modification motions, same-sex couple issues, and paternity actions.
I have been privileged to receive the Norby Award from the Judicial Officers of the San Diego Super Court in 2021 and the Michael C. Shea Ethics Chair Award from the San Diego Family Law Bar Association in 2021. These are the top awards for Family Law attorneys in San Diego County and only 6 other people have received both.
I have been named a Super Lawyer 2019-2024, including a Top 25 Women Attorney in 2024. I was listed in Best Lawyers in 2024 as well.
My firm strives to provide excellent service, with compassion, and a strong vision for our clients to move forward from their legal challenges as quickly and successfully as possible.
In addition to extensive litigation services, I provide alternative dispute resolution as a neutral or client consultant. I am trained in collaborative law. I regularly work with individuals during mediation as a consultant or representative. In addition to these services, I provide neutral mediation services, where I act as the mediator for both parties.
I am involved in the local family law community and serve on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Family Law Bar Association (SDFLBA) In 2020, I served as President of the SDFLBA. In 2024, I became the Chair of the Family Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.
Since 2020, I have also served on the Board of Directors for Kathy's Legacy Foundation, a San Diego non-profit assisting the child victims of parental homicide and domestic violence. Beginning in 2024, I serve as the President of the Board of Directors.
In addition to this, I have a team of trusted professionals, including forensic accountants, therapists, life coaches, tax professionals, financial planners, among others, that assist my clients as they go through the painful and often tedious process of dissolving their marriage or partnership.
