Thomas J. Filicia

From the get go, Thomas J. Filicia did more damage to my case than help. The first of the 4 warrants that ended up being issued for my arrest was because he failed to show up for the initial arraignment. His claim was that he went to the wrong courthouse. He continued to not show up or respond to an...y of my texts, calls, or e-mail requests. After the 4th warrant that was filed for my arrest, I asked for all of the paperwork that he had on my case so I could take care of it myself from this point on. Still have not received a response to that request two weeks later. Fortunately, there is a nice lady at the Assessment Unit that has given me guidance and I'm handling things on my own now. When I told her about the issues that I had been having with Thomas Filicia, she was shocked at how bad he let my situation get and could see from my files all of his failures either to appear or turn over paperwork in a timely manner. She has recommended I file a complaint with the BAR and I am working on that now. Do not use this lawyer!

I have not heard from Mr. Filicia in months. I have no idea what is going on with my case and he never shows up to my hearings. Someone else always does and this time today yet another one showed up. I hire him for my federal case and I should have done my research first. He maybe a simple DUI lawyer... but he is nowhere near ready for a real case. No communication. Never answers my calls l, never shows up to court, never files any motions. Today the lawyer he sent didn't even know I have a bond revocation hearing as well as my motion hearing. How embarrassing. He didn't even know where I was when I was moved. Save you money, save more and get a real attorney if you have a real case.
