Biography
After working in the Family Support Division of The San Diego County District Attorney's Office, I became an associate at Grace, Neumeyer & Otto, where I represented various insurance companies and major automobile manufacturers including Ford, Mazda, and General Motors. Thereafter, as Senior Trial Counsel for United Services Automobile Association (USAA), I was responsible for litigating a wide variety of cases through trial. In 2000, I helped form Simpson & Brenner, LLP. As the managing partner, I represented injured victims in catastrophic injury cases and employment matters, as well as business disputes.
I am now a full-time neutral at Judicate West, where I mediate cases involving significant personal injuries, wrongful death, insurance, sexual harrassment, elder abuse, employment matters, construction defect claims and complex business disputes.
I live in Carmel Valley with my wife and two children. In my spare time, I teach and practice Tae Kwon Do (Korean Karate). I am a fourth-degree black belt and certified instructor.
