Where to begin, if not from the beginning, so there is where I will start. My young adult son was falsely accused of a terrible crime. My son vehemently denied the accusations. Those accusations and the accuser’s purported evidence was presented to local law enforcement and subsequently reviewed by t...he county district attorney. The investigation was closed without charges being brought against my son. His accuser then felt it would be appropriate to post on social media my son’s picture, name and the location of his home and where he attends school, making their salacious accusations public. This individual also reached out to friends and family, promulgating their lies about my son to an even more direct audience. Requests to remove these posts and stop the behavior were met with more posts and lies. When a reasonable solution couldn’t be had, we reached out to the Law Office of Kerry Armstrong, and that is where we met Jacob Katz. Mr. Katz took the time to understand the circumstances and nuances of my son’s case. He made sure to cover all the evidentiary bases and build a strategy that was best suited for my son’s case, what he was going through and ultimately what my son wanted to achieve. Along the way, as the case and the many curveballs that came with it, took their toll on all of us, Mr. Katz took the time to explain our options, change the strategy where needed and moreover, show empathy that served to reassure us that we were not alone in our endeavor to get justice for my son. We knew that if we needed some reassurance, and we certainly did from time to time through this unfortunate experience, Mr. Katz would make himself available to us, because whenever we called he made the time to shore us up (even while his dinner was getting cold). When it came to game day, Mr. Katz was prepared, composed and offered a measured response as the defendant continued their erratic behavior. When the opportunity to settle was identified, Mr. Katz counseled us on our options and played a good shepherd to what we ultimately came to view as a win for my son. We can not say enough about the experience, skill and humanity Mr. Katz displayed through this horrible experience. While I hope we never need Mr. Katz’s services again, he would be the first person we called if we ever found ourselves or a loved one in legal peril.
