About Brett
Biography
Brett Peterson grew up in Northern California but made San Diego his home, earning a B.A. in Quantitative Economics and Decision Science from UC San Diego in 1995 and a law degree from the University of San Diego in 1998. He spent a decade building litigation experience—first at a top plaintiffs’ personal injury firm and later in civil defense—before founding his own firm in 2008 out of concern that insurance companies often failed injured people. Today Brett focuses on car-accident and dog-bite cases, advocating for clients’ rights and dignity. When he’s not practicing law he enjoys fatherhood, exploring Balboa Park, hiking, participating in alumni activities, and fostering shelter animals with his lovely wife.
