Paula Kleinman is the definition of professionalism. She was invested in my case and provided me with amazing results. I was in a situation in which my spouse had obtained full custody legal and physical custody of my children. Prior to hiring her, I mistakenly violated a separation agreement and ...the judge awarded full custody to my spouse. I was only allowed to see my children a few hours during the week and every other weekend. The mediator submitted a report to the court recommending that I only receive 16 hours of supervised visitation per week. The attorney I had during that time was unproductive and not attentive to my case. I sought after a new attorney and came across Paula Kleinman. Immediately I was impressed with her and the staff. They were in constant communication with me and kept me informed of all aspects in terms of what we were preparing and possible outcomes. When we arrived at court to determine the permanent custody she was nothing less than amazing. She spoke first at the hearing and she predicted everything that my spouse’s attorney would argue. Without any doubt she explained that all of my spouse’s allegations were false and without merit. When it was my spouse’s attorney’s time to speak she seemed to be dumbfounded and without a position. Ultimately the judge awarded joint custody and split visitation. There was a tremendous amount of uncertainty and the odds were not in my favor. If you are a military spouse, need an aggressive attorney who is knowledgeable about family law...DO NOT GO TO HER! I gave this attorney my last 2k for a retainer, she worked (I use that term very loosely) on the case for 3 months at the most. Once she went through the retainer...which I don't know h...ow since she did nothing for me. She represented me in court and talked negatively about me to the other party. She stated she couldn't represent me TO him and his attorney. Not only was this verified through my husband but also in emails from his attorney. How unprofessional and disrespectful of an attorney. Also, convenient for her that the retainer was gone when she started asking to withdraw from the case. She then ignored my phone calls and emails for over a month and a half and told the other party I was not responding. I have actual billing statements given to me by the other party that show this. A week before my trial, sent me an email to sign a paper to get another attorney. I even asked her to send one email to the other party to try and resolve the case and no response. Besides her complete incompetency, her responses she prepared were nothing like a trained professional would write.
