I wish there were more stars to give Amanda. She is by far the best attorney in California!!! What should have been a simple divorce turned into a year and a half long nightmare. I live in Virginia and was having to fight a divorce all the way in California. I was so scared not being able to meet wit...h my new attorney face to face and only had 30 days to find someone after I was served. I found Amanda within a few days of searching and sent her an email letting her know my situation. That same day she e-mailed me back. We ended up having a phone conversation and I just knew in my heart she was the one to go with. That was definitely the best decision I ever made. I don't know where I would be without her. I would have gone crazy!! She made this torturous process seem not so bad at all. She is so laid back and is very prompt with returning emails. I never felt like I was in the dark with her and she was always up front with me. I can't thank her enough for all she did for me. Separation is a rough process. Initially, I tried to handle the details on my own. I spent a lot of time feeling like I wasn't doing the best for me or my children. That completely changed during my first conversation with Amanda. She was open, understanding and immediately on task. She zeroed in on ...my best interests and kept the process focused on that. I am so happy to have met Amanda. A friend recommended her when I was getting ready to proceed with my divorce. At first, I was skeptical, since I had heard horror stories about people dealing with lawyers, and I had never had to use a lawyer prior to that. However, from our very first meeting, Amand...a explained the process very clearly to me and answered all of the questions that I had. She was very nice, sweet, and encouraging. From the very first sentence that she told me, from her confident manner of speaking and presenting herself, I knew that she meant business. Prior to talking with her, I had called a couple of attorneys whose numbers I had gotten by the Bar Referral Service, and both of them were quite frankly condescending and intimidating. Talking to Amanda was such a breath of fresh air; she empowered me to go through the long and drawn out process of divorce and custody division. Throughout the divorce, Amanda has always been on-point about answering a million and one of my questions very promptly, filing all the proper paperwork exactly whenever it was supposed to be filed and coming to every single one of my court meetings (I heard from some other acquaintances of mine that some of their attorneys did not even show up at some of the meetings, which would have terrified me, to face the judge on my own). I understand that in order to have licensure as an attorney, one needs to have a basic understanding of when to file what forms and how. However, I think that what makes a great attorney stand out is their ability to relate to a client and look at each client's situation from a fresh perspective, evaluating a diverse spectre of legal approaches and options. Amanda is exactly that -- she is very personable, knowledgeable, and analytical. More so, talking to Amanda felt like talking to a friend - in the whole mess of my crazy divorce, she was my ally, my buddy, my rock. I knew that she would never give me a bad advice, and I knew not to panic unless she was going to (she didn't!). I think that for most people, splitting custody of the kids and going through a divorce brings us to our knees, and that is when Amanda's most helpful, kind, and knowledgeable attitude is indispensable.

I can’t tell you how many times during my divorce I thanked my lucky stars that I stumbled across Amanda and hired her. She is truly the b...est family law attorney out there - I initially typed “one of the best” but then changed it because I honestly believe you can’t get better than her. Amanda is s superstar in literally every area possible – she is unbelievably responsive (so much so I worried I was her only client, which is obviously not the case …but that’s how she will make you feel), has expert knowledge of family law, is compassionate, is skilled and creative when it comes to negotiation, and is a pro when it comes to managing your expectations and helping you to understand and come to grips with worst and best case scenarios. In addition, she is incredibly generous in her billing – I know that I would have had to pay significantly more had I used another law firm …I’m talking 2-5 times more! Finally, she has a great sense of humor and knows when it’s appropriate to inject a bit of levity into an otherwise tense situation. My case was fairly complex – a child was involved and there was another issue where there wasn’t much case law to go off. I am very satisfied and don’t think I could have gotten a better outcome (a tough feat when it comes to family law because from what I can tell, both parties often come out of it feeling screwed). More importantly, I am so grateful to have had Amanda by my side during what has been one of the most challenging years of my life. She made an awful process bearable and helped me keep my sanity when I was overcome with anxiety, sadness, and anger. She is utterly an incredible attorney …and a genuinely compassionate and thoughtful human being.
