It's her way or the highway! Marilyn is really looked down upon by other attorneys. She is described as a bulldog. She tries to use her bullying tactics during the case and even on her client if you don't agree with her. I let her go because she didn't listen to me about what I felt was fair. By igno...ring my requests, I didn't get a business that I built during the marriage. When I told her that I was going to represent myself, I was met with personal insults and her attempt at humiliation. After letting her go and representing myself, I was able to get exactly what I thought was fair (because it was) including the business that she didn't even try for.

Marilyn Bierer is a terrible lawyer. I hired her in a child custody dispute. She advised me very poorly and made false allegations, angering the judge, who shifted custody to the father. She charged outrageously for needless motions and discovery. I eventually fired her but she still cost me over $1...00,000 in wasteful actions. She's also a screamer and a bully if I didn't drop my life and career immediately for her endless requests. She screwed my case up so bad I got virtually nothing in my settlement. Her staff are nice but I feel bad for them having to work around her. I constantly asked to move the case to mediation but she refused, insisting on litigating every single issue. She lost almost every motion yet charged tons for bad work. I've since learned that she has a terrible reputation among judges and attorneys and has been losing cases becuase of it. I think she's getting out of divorce law now.
