YOU WILL BE SO VERY GLAD YOU CHOSE LAYNE BARTHOLOMEW!!!!! After meeting with 5 different Probate attorneys to review our case, we were referred to Layne Bartholomew by another attorney. We were so very lucky to be referred to Mr. Bartholomew. He is extremely knowledgeable, up-to-date on all the la...ws and precedent-setting cases, completely on target, no nonsense, down to earth, and so very, very experienced that he was able to guide us through the court proceedings to a positive outcome. We needed to protect our Mother from an opportunistic distant relative who was trying to cheat her out of her inheritance. (She was being sneaky to gain legal advantage over a 90-yr-old woman!) We needed the best and we got it with Mr. Bartholomew. He is highly regarded among his peers, and yet is so down-to-earth. He is also very ethical when calculating fees. His total was less than another hot-shot lawyer's initial retainer! We got a positive outcome, with the BEST attorney, in the least amount of time, at a reasonable and fair price. There were no surprises. He communicated very well with us the whole time. Now that Mom's case is over, I am planning to have him write up my own trust and will in order to protect me & my assets. Honestly, we cannot say enough good things about this wonderful man. (We refer EVERYONE to him.)

Despite a protest that final accounting was off, Mr B insisted that it was correct. Came back a year later, admitted they'd made a mistake. Demanded immediate consent & agreement to reimburse, but basic math made new calculations as flawed as the original. More interested in covering for his assistan...t than in doing the right thing for his client. Finally acknowledged that second groups of numbers confusing and continuined to be reluctant to review the figures. A nice guy, but made a big mistake. And the incompetent paralegal? Still there. So make sure somebody reliable goes over the accountings. And stay away from the paralegal!
