My encounter with Sanford Perliss is one of chance, luck, along with excellent representation. I found out that after 10-years an old DUI was still on my driving record and there was a warrant issued for my arrest. I found Sanford outside the courtroom and asked politely if he could offer some help i...n what my next steps should be. Not only did he walk me back to the court clerk to have my file pulled, but he walked out of the court, down the block to get to a fax machine, back to court, and stood in front of the judge, got the warrant dismissed, and took me on as a client. Never in my lifetime has anyone, let alone an attorney, dropped everything he was doing at that time and be so empathetic to my situation, kind enough to explain everything to me in a way that made me feel confident in his ability to represent me, and above all generous in giving his time to me, someone who walked upon him in the hallway looking for someone to help. I believe his words were, "you know people go to attorneys because they need help, and if I can help someone, I do." He took time to sit with me that day and explained what was to occur next, he kept me in the loop with what he felt was my best defense, and was always just a phone call or text message away. He not only won my case, but got the DUI dismissed with no jail time, no DUI classes, and I had to pay nothing to the court.
