Biography
John Hernandez is an experienced trial attorney and a former Workers' Compensation Judge for the California Department of Industrial Relation Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. In that capacity he presided in Department 6 of the Los Angeles District Office where he presided over, and adjudicated, thousands of disputes between employees and employers that arose from the California Labor Code and Title 8, of the California Code of Regulations. During his time as a judge, Mr. Hernandez also performed duties of the Acting Presiding Judge and was a supervisor to several law clerks from Loyola Law School.
In addition, he is a frequent speaker on issues related to workers' compensation to industry groups such as LAMAAA and LatinoComp. While a judge, Mr. Hernandez was selected to represent the Department of Industrial Relations on KIQI 1010 AM Radio San Francisco to discuss the fundamentals of California workers' compensation laws.
Currently, Mr. Hernandez focuses his practice on the representation of injured workers. He is an active member of LatinoComp, CAAA, National Organization for Veterans' Advocates (NOVA) Covina Rotary, West Covina LeTip, and California Lawyers Association Workers' Compensation Executive Committee. John enjoys camping with his family in his RV and riding his HD Electraglide.
