Allison S. Novik

I was referred to Allison by a friend of mine. I was unable to retain her as she doesn't practice in my county however that has never stopped her from helping me in my child custody dispute to the extent that she is able to. I have been both pro se and represented by attorneys over the last couple o...f years and sometimes things just weren't clear for me and many times Allison took the time to explain things to me in lay man's terms as well as share her invaluable perspective as a family law attorney. She is extremely knowledgeable, sees angles to things that others hadn't when presented with the same information and has been such an asset to unofficially have in my corner. She truly cares about others which is evident as is she didn't she wouldnt help a complete stranger (me) as much as she has with nothing to gain. That is such a rarity in our legal system, especially amongst family law attorneys. To find an attorney that is in it because they truly want to help people through one of life's most trying times is like finding a needle in a haystack: nearly impossible. If you are fortunate enough to be in the counties that she practices in, do not hesitate to retain her! I personally know how difficult it is to trust attorneys as I've been burned by a few and I can say that she's nothing like those guys, she is a diamond and I am so thankful we crossed paths!

Allison is an excellent attorney! She is hardworking, knowledgeable, supportive and very caring. She helped me to finalize a very long and stressful divorce. Allison is wonderful, through my whole case she was professional, patient and caring and genuine. When problems came up and I called for legal advice I was never made to feel as though I was asking stupid questions or being a bother. Anyone who’s ever gone through a divorce can understand how vulnerable you are when it comes to making decisions based on fear and emotions. It is a horrible position of desperation you can be in when looking for the right legal help. With out going into to much personal details I will just say ...that after 2 attorneys, a heated divorce and a dwindling bank account Allison first helped me get my emotions under control. Then she took the time to explain to me that I needed to focus on the bigger picture (my children). While the other two attorneys continued to flush me with retainer fees after retainer fees that was wasted in senseless meetings and redundant paperwork. Allison actually took the time to come up with a strategy that would later prove to be the fastest and most economic approach at getting the split custody I was asking for. I honestly don't have the words to describe the level of gratitude I have for Allison and all that she did for my family and me.
