He was a BAR/Smart Law referral after having the 2nd worst Lawyer Melinda C. Romines who is suspended for 2 years at this moment. I borrowed the $2,500.00 deposit from my older brother to retain his services. As soon as I gave him that retainer fee he refused to meet with me until I paid him the othe...r $2,500 totaling $5,000 for him to do basically nothing he still didn't meet with me and go over the evidence in my case, no game plan he only offered me unanswered emails text messages and voicemails and stress until I had no choice but to fire him. The only time he responded to an email was the one I sent him when I told him he was fired but he still showed up in court and tried to convince me not to fire him trying to convince the judge not to let me fire him and then we came time to transfer my documents and paperwork he made copies of copies of copies of copies until the papers were too dark and blurry to read, you couldn't read it at all.

This attorney has only spoken to myself in pursuit of money and more money. I have caught him in numerous lies. He is the rudest person (so rude that other persons in court halls told me to fire him). He has never, not once, returned a text, email or Phone call. You do not need an attorney for a DU...I. What a waste if money. Its a mandatory sentence. Whether you go alone or with any attorney. Sentence us the same. If I would have known ge was a DUI. attorney. I am sick. He has taken all of my money and not done a single thing. There is no worse attorney, than a rude attorney who cares nothing for you except how much money he can get. I am appealing to the California State Bar Association. Thank God, many other attorneys and family have seen his behavior and decided it is the worst of the worst. I will get all monies refunded for the new attorney.

At 6 am on Feb. 26th 2006, I was arrested and later appeared that day in a Los Angeles Federal Court. Having lived over 62 years without any legal problems, I was lost, frightened, and alone. I was assigned to a public defender who did little for my case and at the end told me if I was not satisfied... with her to get my own attorney, which was something I was not happy with since my freedom was on the line.

In desperation, I went online to look for an attorney and by luck the Los Angeles Bar Association offered to help me find an attorney. Within minutes I was contacted by Mr. Hammond, he explained to me througholy what was going on wth my case, charges and bail and told me that everything was going to ...be alright. Mr. Hammond has gone out of his way to meet my needs, he has exdceeded my expectations. In addition to meeting with me during regular business hours, he has worked holidays, weekends and late nights, working on my case, calling me or accepting my calls at all hours of the day. We worked together to get these charges reduced only facing probation instead of years in prison! And my fine was also waived!! It was a very good outcome.
