Michael Onuwabhagbe Akhidenor

I retained Michael Akhidenor, after terminating the attorney who originally filed my Unlimited Civil Lawsuit. I met with Michael on the weekend, which was great because I work Banking hours. I explained to Michael, my Lawsuit was filed against my then Landlord for Breach of Warranty of Habitability. ...I also explained to Michael, I had no clue what the status of my Lawsuit was, as I had terminated my Attorney months before meeting with him. Michael explained to me, what my case was worth and how he planned to immediately settle my case. The following week, Michael filed the Substitution of Attorney, sent Request for Production and Interrogatories to the Respondent’s insurance carrier’s provided Attorney. After Michael fired of his questions, we received a settlement offer from the Respondents Attorney. We found their offer to be low and dismissed it, following our dismissal the Respondent Attorney scheduled a Deposition for me. Michael and I attended their Deposition for several hours, which I believe hurt any defense they could have presented. The following week, we received another settlement offer, which I found to still be low and dismissed it, again. The following day, Michael scheduled Deposition for the Respondent for about three weeks out. The following week, Michael and I received a third settlement offer and I accepted their offer. The settlement amount was 5k less than Michael told me he could recover, which is amazing and he also settled my complaint in less than five months. More importantly, Michael and his office personnel were constantly communicating with me and kept me in the know from day one thru settlement. And yes, for those wondering, my case was taken on a Contingency Fee Agreement and Michael waived all expenses. I will forever be grateful that Michael did everything that I requested and turned this negative time in my life to a positive, I would refer anyone to Michael that is looking for representation in the area’s he practices.
