I have been going through a messy divorce for the past 5 years. My wife and I are both professionals with our own businesses, a lot of property, four children and countless other issues. What should have been a long overdue, amicable split became an all out war. Dana was my third attorney. When I fir...st hired a lawyer, all my colleagues impressed on me the need to have a big firm name behind me. With that came the big firm bills and the significant lack of personal contact. This is not to say Dana doesn't cost a pretty penny. But with over two decades of experience under her hat, and an uncanny ability to know just when I was feeling weak or defeated, I didn't seem to mind her bills as much of those of my prior overinflated counsel with equally overinflated egos. I'll be straight that I had some reservations. Dana is sharp, but she also has a fantastic sense of humor. Her wit can rival some of the best comedians I know. Even so, she can be intensely serious when she has to be, and when her client needs to see the bright light of day - which I admit, I needed all too often. The friend that referred me told me that Dana is someone who was unlike any other attorney he had ever worked with ( and this guy works with attorneys every day in his profession). I would have to agree. When I look at ths history of my marriage and my divorce, I am right where I should have been even though like many, I would like to still have all my finances and all my property in my corner. The result Dana obtained was more than fair given the circumstances. I only wish I had come to her first and saved myself about two years. I also want to say that Dana went out of her way to be accessible to me even on weekends and evenings since it is hard for me to always deal with personal matters during the work day. No such experience with the big names. Here is what I learned. There is a reason why she isn't in Beverly Hills or in the media though she certainly could be with her skills. That is not her style. She truly cares about the people she represents. My kids drew pictures for her that she taped to her wall. She held my hand through some of my darkest moments. After all is said and done, the greatest recommendation I can give her is that aside from being a sharp, skilled and astute litigator, she is a truly warm and caring lady. That combination is a rarity in the legal profession.

Hideous divorce. I thought I would fall apart, Dana kept me and our case going and together. Even when I wanted to throw in the towel because it was all just too too much, her explanations and straight talk made me realize I had to continue on the path. And her advice was so genuine and well thought.... We didnt win every battle because you just cant in divorce, but we won the war. I am so much happier now and it was worth every penny. Dont sit on the fence. Hire Dana and reclaim your life!

I've had to deal with a lot of attorneys as a small businessman. Few are as Smart as Ms. Urick. She also has a big heart and always had a movie for my son to watch while we went over my documents. This lady is a gem in the big pool of Los Angeles sharks. I recommend her without reservation. You get w...hat you pay for.

I had a messy custody case with my ex that had been handled by a pricey, big firm. I was not getting any results. From th...e first phone call. I could tell Dana was not the usual lawyer worried about fees and little about the case or the client. After a long and hard fought battle where Dana never gave up, I now have full custody of my 3 kids and a very ample support payment. Dana is smart, tough and fair. She always told me the best but prepared me for the worst which I really appreciated. She didn't blow smoke and she was more than fair with her billing. I have referred many friends to her and there has never been a compkaint. I dont know how she keeps it together when I lost it so many times, but if you have a tough divorce, call her!
