Dana Urick

Dana Urick was my divorce attorney for six years. I know that this is an unusually long time, but that is what happens with a complicated divorce. Dana was wonderful to work with. She was caring, smart, dedicated, and honest. She was also very articulate and driven to get a divorce agreement that wou...ld suit my children and me. At the time of my separation, I was a stay at home mom and had stopped working for seven years. Dana encouraged me to go back to school and get a master's degree, which I am grateful for. Dana is very approachable and easy to talk with, yet she is fierce in the court room. She was actually the second lawyer that I hired to work on my case, after the first lawyer cost me a lot of money and did not help much. I have remained in contact with Dana and consider her a friend now. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a family law attorney.

Ms. Urick was my 2nd lawyer. I had lost all faith because my first lawyer just kept taking my savings, but nothing ever seemed to get done. I attended a Divorce group at my church, and my friend suggested that I call Ms. Urick. The first time I talked to her on the phone, she was kind and patient. Wh...en I decided to meet with her, she patted me on the hand when I broke down and really gave me the impression that she cared and we would be a team. 6 months later, she attended my son's graduation from Pre-School and helped me finalize my 10 year marriage. I really feel that she was my Guardian Angel, and did not treat me like I was just another client like my first lawyer did. She returned all my calls, even on weekends or when I just needed some reassurance. I appreciated her always contacting me to tell me that our hours were getting up there, and I needed to put money aside to continue to fund my divorce. Divorces are not cheap people! BUT neither is a good lawyer! I think you get what you pay for.... and in her case I would rather have paid her fees for 2 years than my other loser lawyer who did nothing! and never returned my calls. or always had excuses.

I can't say enough about this lady. Compassionate but aggressive like a mama bear protecting her young. Skilled, smart, sassy. I've never been a fan of lawyers, but now I am a follower of this woman. I will go to her for ANY legal problem I ever have be it with my children, my company, my friends. I ...recommend her without reservation. Let me tell you that when you are going through a divorce, you want to know SOMEONE can be trusted. Ms. Urick is that person. Don't fall for the talk other lawyers may give you - she tells it straight and has your back always. Thank you Thank you Thank you Dana Urick for all you have done for me and my family.

Three years of divorce hell. A custody battle that I thought would never end. A husband who tried every dirty trick in the book. Ms.Urick always looked out for me and explained everything. I have been going through a messy divorce for the past 5 years. My wife and I are both professionals with our own businesses, a lot of property, four children and countless other issues. What should have been a long overdue, amicable split became an all out war. Dana was my third attorney. When I fir...st hired a lawyer, all my colleagues impressed on me the need to have a big firm name behind me. With that came the big firm bills and the significant lack of personal contact. This is not to say Dana doesn't cost a pretty penny. But with over two decades of experience under her hat, and an uncanny ability to know just when I was feeling weak or defeated, I didn't seem to mind her bills as much of those of my prior overinflated counsel with equally overinflated egos. I'll be straight that I had some reservations. Dana is sharp, but she also has a fantastic sense of humor. Her wit can rival some of the best comedians I know. Even so, she can be intensely serious when she has to be, and when her client needs to see the bright light of day - which I admit, I needed all too often. The friend that referred me told me that Dana is someone who was unlike any other attorney he had ever worked with ( and this guy works with attorneys every day in his profession). I would have to agree. When I look at ths history of my marriage and my divorce, I am right where I should have been even though like many, I would like to still have all my finances and all my property in my corner. The result Dana obtained was more than fair given the circumstances. I only wish I had come to her first and saved myself about two years. I also want to say that Dana went out of her way to be accessible to me even on weekends and evenings since it is hard for me to always deal with personal matters during the work day. No such experience with the big names. Here is what I learned. There is a reason why she isn't in Beverly Hills or in the media though she certainly could be with her skills. That is not her style. She truly cares about the people she represents. My kids drew pictures for her that she taped to her wall. She held my hand through some of my darkest moments. After all is said and done, the greatest recommendation I can give her is that aside from being a sharp, skilled and astute litigator, she is a truly warm and caring lady. That combination is a rarity in the legal profession.
