Wonderful and Professional/Have Utilized 3 Times

I have now utilized the services of Christopher Wasson 3 times - through a legal separation, divorce and most recently a child custody issue. I would not come back to Chris 3 times if his services were not good. He is smart, kind, logical and realistic. He doesn't sugar coat anything but presents ...a realistic viewpoint. He presented smart ideas to me which ultimately saved me a lot of heartache and money down the road. He cared about my child and my child's well being. He is very collaborative in working with his client. You can't go wrong.

The lawyer I needed!!!

After battlling a 10 year family law case on my own kept escalating to the point of violence from the mother of my child and her family towards me and mine, I knew I needed a lawyer. In 2005 I started paying child support without visitation because I signed a paper the child support court on commonw...ealth handed me in the waiting lobby without a lawyer. I filed for visitation soon thereafter. I was granted every other weekend. After a couple years in school my son started showing sings of falling behind. So I addressed this with his mother and she refused to co-parent. I asked the court for more visitation time to help with his education and the court granted me Tuesdays and Thursdays after school to 6pm. My sons education problem had been the biggest issue with this case since everytime I address this with his mother she has been unwilling to co-parent in order to spite me despite it being benificial to our sons education and well-being. So I bring the matter back to court almost evey year. The custody exchanges started to escalate. I would pick up my son at custody exchanges and there would be threats, assaults and violence during these exchanges from the mother of my son and her family toward me and my girlfriend. I documented everything, but when I presented police reports, documents and evidence to the court they would turn a blind eye or just give her a slap in the hand and say "don't do it again". It didnt seem like there were consequences for her not following the court orders or physically assaulting us. I felt that since I didn't have a lawyer they didn't take me seriously. So in approx 2013 I asked the court if I could have the custody exchanges at the police station. The judge granted my second request and said "If she violates the court orders again, I am granting custody to John". She did. She violated 3 times that year so I took the case back to court in approx 2014. To my disapointment the courts assigned a new judge to that dept. The new judge said, "we will start this case from the begininng" and the custody exchange will be at the original location. I begged the judge not to return the custody exchange to the original location since for the past 10 years ALL of the violence has happened at that address from her family towards mine. The last incident was in march 2016 when my girlfriend was physically attacked by the mother of my son and me and my baby were physically attacked by my son's grandfather during a custody exchange. Once again I call the police for the hundrenth time to that same location to have his mother and the grandfather arrested for the physical assaults towards me and my family and the damage done to our car by the grandfather during his attack on my baby. But like always the police did not want to get involved even when there was violence present. I walked away with a police report on her family for battery and property damage. I was supposed to pick up my son the following night at the same location but when I arrived I was handed a restraining order ????????? I am the one who is always attacked and I receive a restraining order? The system has been walking all over me I needed a lawyer immediatley!!! I called around and found Mr Christopher Wasson. I explained the whole thing from beginning to end. He had the right plan and gave me some of the best advice Ive had. That is why I had Mr. Wasson represent me in my restraining order case AND will have him represent me and move forward with my family law case. It was the best decision I have made in the 10 years I have been struggling with this case. Mr Wasson had her drop the restraining order she was seeking against me. I wish I had hired him from the beginning of my child support case and highly recommend him to anyone starting to enter a child support/family law case. It was a pleasure to watch him work in the courtroom. He is very experienced and I will definetly be hiring him in the near future.

Outstanding Professional Service

I obtained Mr. Wasson's services for legal representation regarding my daughter. I couldn't have asked for more. He listened to my concerns and addressed each item specifically with compassion and professionalism. He continued to guide me thru the Family Court process. I had many questions. He was al...ways available to hear the issues going thru my mind. Going to court for your child can be a very emotional and scary process especially for someone like myself who has no experience with dealing with such a situation. So I did additional research about the items pertaining to my case and brought the information to his attention. I have heard horror stories about lawyers and how "they don't listen or its all about the money". I will tell you that with Mr. Wasson it is absolutely not true. He is fair, honest, and knowledgable. He is a true professional with empathy for all. He does what is right and what is the law. He tells you the truth about your situation and what are your options. It felt great to have options, yet you have to be open and honest with yourself. Truly look at your circumstances to make the decision that best fits your situation. I got exactly what I needed to continue to take care of my daughter. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a exceptional lawyer.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Chris as opposing counsel on several cases over the years and can attest to the fact that he is a formidable opponent. Chris is particularly strong at analyzing financials, and because he has a banking background (prior Senior VP of a $100 million bank and CFO), he is a shrewd negotiator when it comes to property division and support issues. I have the utmost respect for Chris as a family law attorney, and consider him a friend (even when we are advocating for our respective clients in court). Chris has a reputation for being fair and reasonable, but uncompromising when he feels his client is in the right."
