I found Kantor & Kantor through a google search when I was desperately looking for help after an insurance company (offered through my employer) was withholding disability pay from me. I had looked into several firms over the span of a couple days and couldn’t get over some of the reviews out there. ...No one seemed to have as great of reviews as Kantor and Kantor and so I decided to visit their website and fill out a consultation form. I wasn’t expecting to hear back any time soon considering that the stay at home order due to COVID-19 was just put in place that week and I assumed that people weren’t in the office or they were not accepting new clients at this time. It wasn’t even an hour or so later that Glenn Kantor himself gave me a call to talk and find out more about how he could help me. In short, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and because of my most recent relapse, I’d been left with some symptoms that made it impossible for me to work. I am a financial advisor for a very well-known firm and I never thought that I would find myself in a position where I needed help this urgently. My insurance company wanted to stop paying me the week my employer would no longer be responsible for my pay and they would have to take over. Glenn took time to learn about me, he shared with me that MS is actually very close to their firm’s heart- as a very important member of their firm is also diagnosed with it, and in less than 20 minutes, I felt more understood than I had in months. Glenn didn’t waste a minute, he told me that he was happy to write a letter to someone he knew at the insurance company and see if he couldn’t completely resolve my issue without ever having to pursue litigation. Let me just say, the letter that Glenn wrote and sent out that same day brought me to tears. I’m not a very emotional person, but this was an emotional time for me, it seemed the world was falling apart inside and outside of our home and then there was this incredible human being. A man who expected nothing in return, but just wanted to do what he could to help and came to my defense without a second to spare. I had written letter after letter to the company, called them for weeks on end trying to do everything I could to avoid having a disruption in my benefits and I was continuously strung along. I just couldn’t be more appreciative. Glenn wanted nothing in return from me and so I felt absolutely compelled to at least sit down and take the time to share my story and experience with Kantor & Kantor and tell anyone who might find themselves in a similar position that there are some amazing people out there who want nothing but to help you and luckily enough for all of us- several of them work together at this firm.
