This review is from a person who hired this attorney.

Never Available. Never returned calls. Everything "deferred" to Erica, his helper.

This guy (even after being given a large retainer) will never call you back, he's never available and after 5 months of >NOTHING< I asked for my retainer returned to me (over the voice mail because he and her are NEVER available) and I FINALLY got it back after leaving many messages. I think this guy... is tired, burnt out, not interested really, in helping you out. I never even met him either~every time I went there to meet with him he was "in court."...yea, right. Nahhh people, don't waste your time. Really, don't.

Tenant Representative, Knowledgeable, Professional and Protective

Eric Hawes represented our Company in a lease negotiation for our new office space. We never had legal representation prior to this for any office space lease negotiations. Eric thoroughly reviewed our lease, listened to our concerns and insured all of these issues were part of the negotiation. Eric... extensive experience with lease provisions, allowed us to have a well versed advocate on our side. I would strongly recommend Eric for both Tenant and Landlord representation.

Very satisfied

I am a professional landlord and home buyer/flipper. I was purchasing a home where the daughter of the owner/seller, decided at the last moment to file a lis pendins on the house and claim ownership rights. I hired Eric Hawes on behalf of the seller to expunge the claim and give me the ability to p...urchase the home. It took a while, but Eric prevailed and we got the house and the nasty daughter moved out. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and very detailed. That's a skill set I need and desire in my real estate lawyer and Eric has it!

"I've known Eric and his partner for about 10 years. Eric has extensive experience both in negotiating business deals and in litigating business deals gone wrong. How much do I trust and respect Eric's abilities? This much: Eric is on my short list of colleagues to whom I turn when I need to confer on issues that challenge me in my own practice. Eric's insights are always invaluable and spot-on. It is an honor to recommend Eric to those in need of the very best in legal representation."

"I have known Eric Hawes for many years. Eric specializes in real estate transactions and litigation. Not many lawyers represent clients in both litigation and transactions, but Eric does both extremely well. And, because Eric does both, he's better at each, as litigation provides insights that make him a better transnational attorney, and vice versa. Eric is a conscientious, experienced, client-focused lawyer who I am proud to recommend."

"I have known Eric Hawes for almost ten years and he has established himself as a leader in his field. What separates Eric from other real estate lawyers is that he handles both transactions and litigation. As such, he is acutely aware of the nuances that other lawyers miss because he knows what can cause a dispute and how to avoid a dispute. In fact, he is better at both transactions and litigation for doing both. I give him my highest recommendation and if any of my valued clients require advice on real estate matters, Eric is my first call."

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
