Biography
Roger Vega has over 14-years of experience in the area of construction law and has acquired an in-depth knowledge regarding all aspects of construction projects and disputes. His practice encompasses a wide array of construction industry matters such as competitive bidding, contract drafting, project management and contract administration, scheduling and delay issues, change orders, cost overruns, mechanic's lien, stop notice, and bond rights, risk management, and claims resolution. Mr. Vega has handled multi-million dollar disputes on high profile, complex construction projects and achieved favorable settlements and judgments on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Vega has represented various public agencies to assist in their construction-related disputes. These public entities include several school districts throughout California and several cities. He has also represented large general contractors, trade contractors, architects and engineers. His understanding of these disputes from the perspective of both the owner and the contractor uniquely enables him to reach cost-effective resolutions.
Some of Mr. Vega’s more notable matters include a dispute involving a $54 million dollar waste treatment facility in the inland empire. Mr. Vega represented the general contractor in a dispute with a trade sub-contractor. The case involved several years of litigation and resulted in a significant settlement in favor of the general contractor. Mr. Vega also assisted a general contractor in a trial involving change orders and contract interpretation that resulted in a judgment and an award of attorneys fees for Mr. Vega’s client.
Mr. Vega graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Mr. Vega earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California. During law school, Mr. Vega served as president of the Loyola Latino Law Students' Association.
