From a personal referral in 2009, my mother and I consulted with Elder Attorney, Ruth Phelps. My mother was in her late eighties and worried about the expense of long term nursing care for her husband, my father. Immediately upon our initial consultation, Mrs. Phelps compassionately and patiently to...
"I cannot say enough about Ruth. Her knowledge of Elder Law and Estate Planning is exceptional. She assists clients in planning cases as well as crisis cases. More importantly, she does so with compassion and care that is hard to find in attorneys. I was honored to be taught Elder Law by her at Loyola Law School."
"Ruth is a fantastic attorney. I have had the pleasure to observe her at Court, work with her on cases, and so on for over 10 years. She has impeccable integrity and devotion to her clients and is a credit to the legal community."
"I met Ruth early in my legal career in California learning about Elder Law issues. I quickly came to consider Ruth the “go-to” attorney on these issues because of her considerable expertise. To this day, if I need another opinion on a legal issue, Ruth is one of three attorneys in California I will contact first. Not only is she brilliant, but a compassionate, client-pleasing advocate who goes the extra mile. I am fortunate and proud to know her and call her a friend."
"I endorse this lawyer.Ruth works very hard for her clients. She would represent you very well. She keeps current on the changes in the laws. You could not go wrong by hiring Ruth to be your attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ruth is truly one of the nicest attorneys I have known. She is incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable. She is a national leader among elder law attorneys throughout the country."
"Ruth is a nationally-recognized authority in elder law. In fact, she is currently President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the premier national organization for practitioners. She is a CELA (Certified Elder Law Attorney) by the National Elder Law Foundation, and is (most importantly) a genuinely nice person."
