Leo grew up in San Diego and attended San Francisco State University, where he graduated cum laude with a BA in Economics in two years. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School. After law school, Leo gained valuable experience working with the Disability Rights Center and Public Counsel, two public interest firms, before settling into criminal defense.
