Kate Elizabeth Lebenzon

Kate Lebenzon is a skilled criminal defense attorney with a wealth of experience in both legal research and advocacy. At Kraut Law Group Criminal & DUI Lawyers, Kate has won countless motions which have resulted in dismissals for her clients, and vigorously defends clients during contested hearings and during negotiations with prosecutors.

During law school at Pepperdine University School of Law, Kate clerked with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Kate developed strong working relationships with prosecutors across several specialized units and gained valuable insights into prosecution strategies.

Following law school, Kate spent four years working as a Law Clerk and Research Attorney for the Criminal Writs Center at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Kate analyzed petitions for writ of habeas corpus filed by state prison and county jail inmates from across California. In this role, Kate honed her legal research and writing skills, preparing legal memoranda for judges at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center and drafting orders for judicial review and signing.
